What to Look Forward to at IT Nation 2016

ConnectWise Conference Gathers Technology Solution Providers to Transform Their Business

It’s that time of year again! Although the calendar told me it was time to “fall back” last weekend, I am actually preparing to “spring forward” this week as I head to Orlando, Florida to attend the ConnectWise Conference IT Nation.

IT Nation is two full days for technology solution providers to network, learn, relax and be inspired. After attending five times, I have high expectations going back to IT Nation and a lot to look forward too, including:

  • Keynote Speakers: I really look forward to the keynote sessions every year. Arnie Bellini, co-founder and CEO of ConnectWise always does a great job promoting the advances of the product. The second keynote is also always inspiring. This year’s guest keynote will be with Keith McFarland, a technology CEO, business school dean, consultant and author.
  • Networking opportunities: With meetups, scheduled networking sessions and user group communities, there are several ways to connect with others. It’s a nice opportunity to meet new people, get fresh ideas and be surrounded by others in the IT solution industry.
  • Vendors: I also look forward to the face time with our vendors. Spending time in the Solution Pavilion is time well spent! I work to build relationships with our current vendors, and also take a look at the new and competing products in the market that can provide improvements.
  • Entertainment: The evening entertainment is never a disappointment. It allows for some time to relax and recharge with others before heading home to put all the new ideas into play!

In the weeks leading up to IT Nation, I’ve spent time looking over the sessions being offered and developing my schedule strategy. Every year I go, there are always more sessions that I want to attend then available slots! I’m experiencing the same issue this year. My chosen sessions range from ConnectWise best practices, human resources, and team management, alongside business growth strategies. No matter what sessions I choose, I know I will come back with ideas that can be implemented to proactively improve our organization. If you are a Technology Solution Provider and have never attended IT Nation, I would recommend attending in the future to learn best practices. Hollie Braid, Director of Service Delivery, is responsible for unified, strategic leadership in service areas, including service activation, preventative maintenance, user support, training and quality. Prior to joining Collabrance in 2009, Hollie started at GreatAmerica in 2006. Before working at GreatAmerica, Hollie worked in IT for Verizon. Hollie joined GreatAmerica as a member of the Service Desk. In 2007, she became the support behind the GreatAmerica FleetView product. Hollie was part of the team that launched Collabrance, and in 2011 she became the Service Team Leader. Hollie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
