Happy Customer Service Week! Another year has passed and it’s time once again to celebrate Customer Service Week! Customer Service Week is recognized annually during the first week of October. Customer Service Week at Collabrance is a time that we choose to celebrate customers and those that make the customer experience amazing. We also take this as an opportunity to recognize team members for going above and beyond to provide great customer services.
Create a Customer Service Week theme everyone can have some fun with. In the past we’ve done themes like “Everyday Heroes” and created decorations, games and giveaways that were hero themed. This year our Customer Service Week theme is “Excellence Happens Here.” I love this theme! There are so many excellent things teams do all year long, it is fun to take time celebrating!
If this is your first year celebrating Customer Service Week, it doesn’t have to be a huge event. Taking the time to recognize Customer Service Week is step number one. Some food, games and laughs and you will be well on your way! The celebration doesn’t need to break the bank either. You can find fun trinkets that will go along with the theme of the year, or you can strike out on your own. Some of our favorite memories have come from the activities that we do during celebrating Customer Service Week.
One of the things our team looks forward to during Customer Service Week is playing some fun games. Here are some easy ideas that are easy to implement.
We like to take time to be grateful and help our community. Customer Service Week is another great opportunity to incorporate a community service project. An easy example we’ve done is putting together a food drive considering the proximity to Thanksgiving.
Customer Service Week is an opportunity where we really focus on showing our gratitude for our employees. Sometimes this is through a meal or a small token of appreciation. Every year, we try to include a handwritten thank you card. Trinkets come and go, but handwritten thank you cards get hung up at the employee’s desk and serve their purpose for many months to come. Find a way to let your team members know just how much they are appreciated!
Most importantly, have fun with Customer Service Week! It should be fun for everyone so keep the planning and activities simple. Watch the team’s reaction with the different events and you’ll quickly see what your team enjoys most. Take Customer Service Week to remind your team of their purpose, show them you appreciate them and make it a GREAT week!
